India Vietnam Business and Cultural Council
About Vietnam
Vietnam, a Southeast Asian gem, has a rich cultural legacy as well as magnificent
landscapes. Vietnam is a patchwork of ancient traditions and modern dynamism, nestled on the
eastern edge of the Indochina Peninsula. With a past influenced by China, France, and
indigenous cultures, the country has a distinct blend of traditions that may be seen in its
art, cuisine, and architecture.
The Vietnamese people's indomitable character, as evidenced by their victories over
historical adversities, is a monument to their strength and solidarity. From the bustling
streets of Hanoi to the lively Mekong Delta, Vietnam provides travellers with a broad
selection of experiences. The picturesque Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site,
displays the country's natural beauty with its towering limestone karsts.
Vietnam's food is world-renowned for its wonderful flavours, with dishes like pho and banh
mi winning hearts throughout the world. The warmth of Vietnamese hospitality is reflected in
the friendliness of its people, while holidays and traditions such as Tet demonstrate the
